Goal Buddy pairs strangers into a real, one on one accountability partnership. Trust and safety are treated as core to that experience, not an afterthought.
Email verification
Every account requires a verified email address before you can post a goal or connect with a partner. Phone verification is optional.
Reporting and blocking
Report and block tools are available from any profile or conversation. Reports are reviewed, and accounts that violate our terms may be suspended or removed.
The Red Button
The Red Button lets you send your matched partner an instant support alert when you are struggling. It is rate limited to prevent misuse, and it is designed to feel reassuring, not alarming.
Moderation approach
For this stage of the product, moderation focuses on the essentials: verification, reporting, blocking, and rate limiting. Heavier moderation, such as profile review and verification tiers, is planned as the product grows and real usage patterns emerge.
